Sibiu-Sibiel

Sibiel A beautiful village situated at about 10 km from Sibiu (280 km from Bucharest). The peaceful atmosphere of the village, its houses and people will, for sure, conquer you for the first glimpse. You will find your guest friendly and eager to make you have an excellent time. The traditional cuisine will be a strong point of your stay - the food is generally from organically grown products and the wine and "Tuica" (the Romanian plum brandy) are from your gust's own cellar. The natural environment is simply beautiful. You have to see it!

We have designed two programmes for this area:

Simply Sibiel

This is a basic programme for the independent travelers. It includes:

  • Transfer from hotel in Bucharest to the rail- way station and back to the hotel
  • Return transfer railway station in Sibiu to Sibiel
  • Train tickets Bucharest - Sibiu - Bucharest
  • 3 nights full-board accommodation in a rural home

Price: 210 Euro / pax (minimum 2 persons)

Wonderful Sibiel

It allows you to fully enjoy the best of Sibiel and of its surroundings. You'll travel by car, accompanied by a knowledgeable guide. The price includes also 3 nights full-board accommodation in a local house, the trips and visits mentioned in the programme.

Day 1

Departure from Bucharest (around 9:30 a.m.). Stop over in Cozia to admire the monastery build up near the Olt River. Continue to Sibiel. Dinner and accommodation in a rural house.

Day 2

After, breakfast - visit of the Sibiu Town. Having the looks of a German town, the old town of Sibiu is still full of color and life, with its houses painted in various colors and the busy cafes and restaurants along the length of the promenade (The main street). It is also home to some of Romania's best museums - The Brukenthal Museum and the Museum of Popular Technology (the visit of one of this museums is included, according to your choice).

After visiting Sibiu you can choose either to return to Sibiel, or for a supplement, to continue the day in Sighisoara (100 km from Sibiu). Sighisoara is the last inhabited medieval citadel in Europe. Here is the home of Vlad Dracul, the father of Vlad Tepes "The Impaler", and the figure behind Dracula's legend. The journey is worth taking because Sighisoara is one of the "musts" of Romania.

In case you'll decide to return to Sibiel, the lunch will be in your house. If you'll continue to Sighisoara - lunch on the way. Return to Sibiel - dinner & acc.

Day 3

Breakfast and departure to Hunedoara to visit the Huniade Castle - the largest medieval fortress in Romania. Lunch on the way. Return to Sibiel - dinner & acc.

Day 4

Breakfast - departure to Bucharest. Lunch on the way. Arrival in Bucharest in the afternoon. End of services.
